Sometimes diagnostics reveal more than expected 👀 Sometimes diagnostics reveal more than expected 👀 This patient presented for GI evaluation, and during endoscopy we incidentally discovered gastric worms within the stomach. Endoscopy not only allows us to directly visualize abnormalities in real time, but in many cases also helps us diagnose and sometimes even remove or retrieve foreign material and parasites without invasive surgery. We diagnosed a mandibular fracture and performed a cerclage wire repair to stabilize the jaw and restore proper alignment. This technique allows the bone to heal while helping the patient regain the ability to eat comfortably.
